Dunkin’ Donuts Signs Boston Bruins Rookie Tyler Seguin

by on Nov.17, 2010, under ALL, NHL

Dunkin’ Donuts announced it has signed a sponsorship deal with Boston Bruins rookie Tyler Seguin.

Seguin, who was the second overall pick in the 2010-2011 NHL draft, will be featured in TV and radio commercials and participate in promotional appearnces as part of the Dunkin’ “Caught Cold” campaign to promote its iced coffee drinks.

I’m not sure why Dunkin’ Donuts decided to go into the Professional Hockey game with the signing of the 18 year old centre, guess they were really looking to score some NHL fans as customers.

The doughnut chain is also using 35-year-old Boston Celtics star Ray Allen in their “Caught Cold” campaign.

by on Nov.02, 2010, under ALL, NHL

Alright Bruins fans, get ready for the chance to write the next “Bruins Hockey Rules” commercial and get some air time.

That’s right, Bruins fans have the opportunity to come up with a rule and script of their own your own ending to the commercial. Once you come up with your rule, post it on the website BruinsHockeyRules.com and have your friends and family vote to boost your rule to the top rankings.

The rule that is receives the highest rating on the website will be the winner.

The winning rule will be made into a commercial that will be shown for the rest of the season on channels NESN and Garden HDX.

The most popular rules so far include:

* Shoot the puck, not the bear.
* Leave the play-by-play to Jack.
* In Boston, the Bear hunts you.
* Talk a big game? Better stand behind some thicker glass.

Looks like Hockey teams are trying to do whatever it takes to boost their audiences.
