VIDEO: NBA Star Kevin Durant inks deal with Panini America

Panini America announced earlier today that it had reached a multi-year trading card, autograph and memorabilia agreement with Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant.

Durant will be an official company spokesman and trading card ambassador for the company that became the exclusive trading card partner of the NBA beginning with the 2009-10 season.

It’s about time The Durantula gets his own exclusive trading card deal. He will be joining a Panini family that includes five-time NBA Champion Kobe Bryant and Washington Wizards rookie John Wall.

VIDEO: Kevin Durant On Cover Of Latest Dime Issue

Kevin Durant is making his 3rd appearance on the cover of Dime Magazine. The NBA’s newest rising star first made his debut on the cover when he was at the University of Texas and was getting recognition. Then last summer, he had his NBA “Breakout” in front of a small audience during USA Basketball’s Training Camp. Now, with his recent MVP induction at the FIBA World Championship, KD is on the cover once again.

FIBA World Championship sets viewing records

Is Kevin Durant the best player in the NBA today? I don’t think so YET. В But is he in the top 3 right now? Definitely. В After the 2010 FIBA Championship, the 2009-2010 scoring champ (averaging 30.1 PPG), showed the world he is right there behind NBA greats Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.

Durant led the young, undersized squad of 12 to the gold medal.В  That’s right! For the first time since 1994, the U.S. are world champions again.В  Can you believe it?В  Its been 16 years since the U.S. won gold at the last FIBA World Championship; and they did it with record viewing numbers.
